“MARK ROTHKO 2022” artist presentations
From 2 to 16 September, the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will host the 18th International Mark Rothko Painting Symposium 2022.
This year, the panel has selected Siddharth Pathak (India/The Netherlands), Biljana Milenkovic (Serbia), Lihi Turjeman (Israel), Amit Kalla (India), Agata Żychlińska (Poland), Agata Magdalena Sulikowska (Poland), André Rigatti (Brasil), Mika Vesalahti (Finland), Aleksejs Naumovs (Latvia) and Bence Kala (Hungary).
All these artists continue to develop Mark Rothko’s ideas through their individual creative prism. Their symposium output will be on show in a group exhibition, but before that, everyone will be able to meet the symposium participants and ask them questions during publicly held artist presentations at the Rothko Centre’s video room at 3 p.m. on 8 and 9 September.
