INTERNATIONAL TEXTILE ART SYMPOSIUM „Fortress Walls”
Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center will from November 3rd – 13th, 2014 host the International Textile Art Symposium “Fortress Walls”. The symposium will be held in Daugavpils Fortress, a cultural monument characterized not only by its rich history but also its fascinating streets and squares. The fortress’s architecture recreates the colors of the world and the unique atmosphere of the Daugava River coast. This is the first year the Textile Art Symposium will be held in the city of Daugavpils. Participants are invited to create unique miniatures of textile art, inspired by the atmosphere and architecture of Daugavpils Fortress.
