Award-winning film screening of “Apolonia, Apolonia”
On Thursday, June 15, at p.m. 7.00 in the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center, there will be a free screening of ‘’Apolonia, Apolonia’’.
Spanning 13 years, this mesmerizing documentary film follows young bohemian artist Apolonia as she grapples with how to succeed in a world dominated by patriarchy, capitalism, and war without losing herself. Director Lea Glob tells a coming-of-age story about how different countries and cultures shape one’s identity.
After the screening there will be a moderated discussion.

The first edition of the Culture and Arts Festival “Diversity” organised by the NGO ‘’I Want to Help Refugees” will take place from June 7 to July 21 with a broad program of free events dedicated to migration, cultural diversity and topical human rights issues.
The screening is supported by the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Center. Festival ‘’Diversity” is sponsored by The EEA and Norway grants and Riga City Council.
