11th International Latgale Graphic Art Symposium
The Latgale Graphic Art Symposium continues to be the largest international printmaking forum in the Latgale Region. This is its ninth iteration in the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre symposium framework. Since its establishment, the symposium has brought together over a hundred participants from more than 35 countries.
In 2023, the team of participants included nine artists from Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany and Latvia. The results of this intense creative fortnight are now seen in an exhibition that adds to the Rothko Centre’s 10th-anniversary programme. The display celebrates each artist’s individual style and proficiency and illustrates the remarkable technical diversity of the graphic medium.
The symposium remains a solid international platform towards revitalising the graphic medium in Daugavpils and raising the global visibility of Latgale by drawing new visiting artists to the region.
The 11th International Latgale Graphic Art Symposium was organised by the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre and SIVIA association, with REACT-EU funding and valued support from the Daugavpils City Council.
