PRESENTATIONS II: ceramics symposium “Ceramic laboratory”
From June 6 to June 21 Daugavpils hosts an annual ceramic art symposium “Ceramic Laboratory”, which is organized by the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics in cooperation with the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre. The CERAMIC LABORATORY symposium is being held in Daugavpils for the eleventh time, gather in Daugavpils Ceramicists from Israel, India, South Korea and other countries.
Two days before the exhibition opening, at 3 p.m. on 19 and 20 June, the Rothko Centre invites all art lovers who wish to know more about this year’s symposium team to attend public presentations by the participant artists, who will talk about their creative backgrounds and open up on how they approach the ceramic medium.
Admission to all symposium events is free of charge.
The project is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation through its Target Programme for Historical Latvian Lands. The symposium is produced with REACT-EU funding towards Europe’s post-pandemic recovery and supported by the Daugavpils City Council, Caparol and Devona.
