Application Announcement for the International Painting Residency “Mark Rothko 2014””
Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre organizes the annual International Residency “Mark Rothko 2014” in Daugavpils from September 8 till September 26, 2014.
The residency of this year will be special as the final exhibition of the Residency will be opened on Rothko’s 111th birthday when the conference “Abstract Expressionism- Language of Emotions” which will bring together many significant art scholars and artists from all over the world, will take place in Rothko Centre. The conference is one of Riga 2014 (European Capital of Culture) events that is organized by Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.
