Textile artist Sandrine Thiébaud Mathieu in residency at the Rothko Museum

In October and November 2025, the Rothko Museum hosted a residency by Sandrine Thiébaud Mathieu, a French textile artist, who created a new series of artworks inspired by the Latvian landscape and our country’s unique social fabric, with its distinctive, vibrant threads of different ethnic and religious groups. The residency was supported by the French Institute in Latvia.
