Mark Rothko 2025 Symposium | Artist Presentations
Meet the artists shaping this year’s Mark Rothko 2025 International Painting Symposium!
On 16 September, discover the creative voices of ten international artists who are here for a two-week residency in Rothko’s native city. In a series of short presentations, they will share their artistic journeys, portfolios, techniques and ideas that guide their practice.
The presentations offer a unique opportunity to engage directly with contemporary painters from across the globe, hear their stories, and learn about the diverse approaches and inspirations that connect to Rothko’s legacy.
Featuring Hazrii Kin (Malaysia), Ludovic Fleury (France), Joy Kloman (USA), David Guez (Israel), Heike Kelter (Germany), Weronika Teplicka (Poland), Kaori Fukuyama (Japan/USA), Yoonjee Geem (South Korea), Anna Silabrama (Latvia), and Paula Zariņa-Zēmane (Latvia).
Free admission – all are welcome!
Supported by the Daugavpils City Council, Latvia’s Culture Capital Foundation and its target programme towards historical Latvian lands, and Caparol.
