Art Teachers’ Union in co-operation with Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics and Šiauliai University (Lithuania) invites you to participate in the 10th international conference on visual arts PERSON.COLOR.NATURE.MUSIC to be held on 5-6 July 2018 at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, Latvia.

This year’s Conference is a tribute to Mark Rothko and Sigurds Vīdzirkste – two internationally renowned Daugavpils-born artists. Both of them established their careers in the USA and are famous for their abstract paintings.

The steering committee of the 10th international conference PERSON.COLOR.NATURE.MUSIC invites applications from scholars who work in all aspects of visual arts. The conference will take place within the framework of the 2nd Latvia International Ceramics Biennale, which is why ceramics-related applications are especially welcome.

How to apply

 

To apply for the conference, please fill in the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM until 1 May 2018.

All applicants will receive notification of acceptance/rejection via e-mail by 1 June 2018. Accepted applicants will be invited to submit full papers. All papers will be peer-reviewed. The reviews will be passed on to authors. After the conference, the accepted papers will be published in the Conference E-Book. Abstracts will be published prior to the conference.

Important dates

  • 1 May 2018 – Final date to submit application for presentation. After this date, no applications will be accepted.
  • 1 June 2018 – Notification of acceptance/rejection sent via email.
  • 15 June 2018 – Final date to pay the conference participation and/or publication fees.
  • 30 June 2018 – Final date for cancellation with a 50% refund.
  • 5-6 July 2018 – Conference days.

Conference fees

Participation fee – 50.00 EUR (covers conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome reception).

Publication fee – 25.00 EUR (publication in Conference E-Book)
