From 25 May to 8 June 2018, the 7th International Latgale Graphic Art Symposium of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will bring together ten graphic artists from Poland, Portugal, Greece, the United Kingdom, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and even Brazil.

To celebrate the approaching 115th birthday of the world-renowned Daugavpils-born artist Mark Rothko, an exhibition of museum quality reproductions of Mark Rothko’s paintings and digital content from the collection of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre will be opened at 4 p.m. on Friday, 18 May in Zarasai Regional Museum (Lithuania).

On 24 April, five years will have passed since Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre opened its doors to the public as one of the most ambitious 21st-century cultural projects in Eastern Europe.

On 20 April 2018, the launch of seven new exhibitions and a 4D multimedia fountain show will mark the fifth anniversary of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.  

Ian Maksin, a world-renowned American cellist, composer and vocalist of Russian descent, will give a free concert in Daugavpils, performing at 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 March 2018 at the concert hall of Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre.

This year’s first exhibition season with seven new exhibitions will be launched at Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre the Friday, 2 February, at 4 p.m.

Anticipating the centenary of the Latvian State and the 2nd Latvia International Ceramics Biennale, Latvian Centre for Contemporary Ceramics, in cooperation with Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, opened an exhibition of artwork created during the international ceramics competition “Memory Box” and announced competition winners.
